Why Do I Need an Annual Inspection

The short answer: Every aircraft is required to be inspected at least one every 12 months (thus the term Annual Inspection). The Aircraft cannot legally be operated unless this inspection is conducted by an appropriately rated mechanic  (A&P/IA) and appropriate documentation of this inspection has been entered into the aircraft, engine, and propeller logbook. With certain exceptions, we’ll go into  later.
